Delivery & Returns

The small print...
We will dispatch your reading glasses within 48 hours for those orders received on a business day. For the Channel Islands, Isle of Man, Highlands & Islands of Scotland, & Northern Ireland, delivery lead times may take slightly longer to certain areas as they may to certain overseas territories. Deliveries will take longer during public holiday periods, including xmas and new year, as couriers offer a limited collection service. Additionally please allow for extra time pre-xmas if you are purchasing a gift, as couriers are extra busy at this time and shipments could take longer. Deliveries will be completed as quickly as possible.

For UK Next day Delivery, orders must be placed before midday for next working day delivery. Next day Delivery is not available for Saturday and Sunday delivery. Orders placed during weekend for next day delivery will be dispatched on Monday (excluding bank holidays) for delivery on Tuesday.

For non-UK shipments, you are considered the importer of record and must comply with all applicable laws and regulations. Any charges for duties, taxes and/or the carrier's collection fee are in addition to your shipping charge and must be paid by you.  Any fees payable in connection with your order after it has shipped will be determined by your local customs office.  We cannot determine if an order will be taxed and cannot be responsible for any duties or taxes, regardless of the total invoice amount.  We strongly suggest you contact your customs office for additional information prior to placing your order.
 
From time-to-time we're unable to deliver to a handful of countries due to a variety of circumstances - if this is the case you won't be able to select a delivery address during checkout. This includes Somalia, Syria, Yemen, Sierra Leone and Senegal.

We will not be able to accept your order if your delivery address is a PO BOX.
 
RETURNS
Distance Selling Regulations
Under the Distance Selling Regulations EU Customers have seven working days (beginning the day after receipt) to cancel your purchase (unless it is a purchase of financial services, food, drink or other perishable products; DVD's CD's or software which have been unsealed; magazines; or tailor made/customised products). In this case, we'll provide a full refund, but you must return the cancelled items to us at your cost, should you already have received them. Once we have received the items we will then refund you on the payment option you used to purchase the order with.

Returning the Reading Glasses
We also ask that you carefully return the reading glasses to us, in the condition received complete with all the original packaging. This is just to make sure that the goods are not damaged when they are returned to us. You will find an adhesive label on the invoice enclosed with the goods which details Read Optics's return address. Please remove this carefully and place clearly on the goods that you wish to return. 7 Day Cooling Off Period [EU Only]
In addition to our returns policy, under the Distance Selling Regulations you can cancel your order at any time before the expiry of the period of seven working days beginning the day following receipt of your order (unless it is a purchase of financial services, food, drink or other perishable products; DVD's CD's or software which have been unsealed; magazines; or tailor made/customised products). In this case we will provide a full refund but you must return the cancelled items to us. If we do not receive the cancelled items back, we may arrange to collect them at your cost. If you cancel your order under the Distance Selling Regulations, we will refund the purchase price of the item(s) affected, but you must return the cancelled items at your cost, should you have already received them.

Returning Goods Bought as Special Offers
If you return a single item bought as part of a multi-buy discount offer (for example 'Buy 2 Pairs for £25'), you will be refunded the full price of that item less the total discount given in the offer. If you return all items purchased with the multi-buy discount you will be refunded with the full multi-buy value.

For combination purchases ('buy one, get one free - BOGOF', or 'get the lowest priced item free') you must return both items at the same time for us to process a refund or exchange.
